Breaking Down Language Barriers in AI Coaching
More equal opportunities: PINKTUM’s AI coach, PINKpro, now uses simpler language.
PINKTUM, the EdTech company behind the AI-powered human skills coach PINKpro, is now offering a simplified language option to make digital learning more accessible to all employees— regardless of language proficiency or educational background. With this new feature, users can activate simplified language at any time. Once enabled, PINKpro communicates using shorter sentences, avoids technical jargon, and uses more straightforward vocabulary to support learning in areas like communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution. Developed in collaboration with language experts, the simplified version retains all essential content while making it easier to understand. PINKpro also explains complex terms—such as “Big Data,” “Agility,” or “Design Thinking”—using relatable, everyday examples.
Alois Krtil, CTO of PINKTUM, explains: “Simplified language reflects our core belief in designing AI responsibly. To learn effectively, people must first understand what’s being taught. Ignoring this excludes many from the learning opportunities of the future.”
Joachim Pawlik, CEO of PINKTUM, adds: “Companies need to engage every employee in skill development to grow. When training is tailored to individual needs, it fosters inclusion and team spirit. Simplified AI language is especially critical for frontline teams.”
Research Confirms: Simplified Language Boosts Comprehension and Digital Inclusion
Studies show that simplified language significantly improves reading comprehension— especially for individuals with limited German skills or learning difficulties. In fact, learning outcomes can improve by up to twenty percent compared to standard language. A recent Google study also found that participants felt more confident reading complex content when it was presented in simplified language.
PINKTUM’s decision to implement this feature was driven by conviction, not regulation. By making content easier to understand, the company is helping to close the digital divide— an issue that disproportionately affects non-native speakers and employees in operational roles. Simplified language empowers more people to benefit from AI-driven learning.
